AFAQ Mining

AFAQ Mining continues to advance exploration activities at the Romeit Gold Project through an extensive Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling campaign. The program aims to expand known mineralized zones while identifying new gold-bearing structures across the prospect.

Following highly encouraging diamond drilling results, the RC drilling campaign represents the next phase of AFAQ Mining’s systematic exploration strategy. Furthermore, the program supports the rapid evaluation of mineralized trends and helps define the continuity of gold-bearing structures throughout the project area. As a result, Romeit continues to emerge as one of the most promising gold exploration projects within the West ELBAH concession

RC Drilling Activities at Romeit

The ongoing RC drilling program designed to systematically evaluate structurally controlled mineralized zones identified through integrated geological interpretation. These targets were generated using geological mapping, trenching, surface geochemistry, and previous drilling datasets. In addition, current drilling activities focus on testing the continuity, orientation, and grade distribution of gold-bearing structures along strike and at depth within the main mineralized corridors.

Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling is widely recognized as one of the most effective exploration techniques for gold projects. It provides rapid penetration rates, operational efficiency, and reliable representative rock-chip samples for detailed geochemical analysis. Consequently, RC drilling offers a cost-effective approach for evaluating mineralized structures across large exploration areas while accelerating target assessment.

At Romeit, the RC drilling campaign has successfully intersected multiple mineralized quartz vein systems, hydrothermal alteration zones, and structurally controlled gold-bearing intervals across several target areas. Moreover, these intersections continue to strengthen the geological interpretation of the project by improving the understanding of mineralization geometry, structural continuity, and the distribution of high-grade gold zones.

The data generated from the drilling program plays a critical role in refining exploration models and prioritizing future drilling targets. Therefore, the campaign contributes directly to advancing the long-term development potential of the Romeit Gold Project.

Encouraging Gold Mineralization Intersected

Assay results from the ongoing RC drilling program continue to confirm the presence of high-grade gold mineralization associated with quartz veining, sulphide-rich shear zones, and hydrothermal alteration across multiple target areas at Romeit.

Importantly, several drill holes returned significant gold intercepts that highlight both the continuity and high-grade nature of the mineralized system. Notable intersections from the current campaign include:

  • RMRC-015: 100.00 g/t Au from 121–122 m
  • RMRC-018: 100.00 g/t Au from 107–108 m, including 54.90 g/t Au from 109–110 m and 30.00 g/t Au from 110–111 m
  • RMRC-053: 80.80 g/t Au from 20–21 m
  • RMRC-025: 67.70 g/t Au from 42–43 m
  • RMRC-074: 63.90 g/t Au from 48–49 m, associated with 21.30 g/t Au from 47–48 m
  • RMRC-016: 48.70 g/t Au from 86–87 m
  • RMRC-047: 45.00 g/t Au from 126–127 m, 32.90 g/t Au from 128–129 m, and 30.40 g/t Au from 107–108 m
  • RMRC-012: 43.90 g/t Au from 70–71 m
  • RMRC-044: 28.60 g/t Au from 46–47 m

Furthermore, the distribution of these high-grade intervals across multiple drill fences supports the interpretation of a structurally controlled hydrothermal gold system. The results indicate the presence of localized high-grade shoots within broader mineralized corridors.

Mineralization is predominantly associated with quartz veining, silicification, sulphide development, and deformation-related structures. In addition, several mineralized intervals remain open along strike and at depth, highlighting opportunities for further exploration success.

Therefore, the RC drilling results continue to strengthen confidence in the geological model and demonstrate significant potential for expanding mineralized zones throughout the Romeit prospect.

Geological Significance of the RC Drilling Program

The RC drilling campaign has provided valuable geological and structural information that contributes directly to refining the exploration model at Romeit. Additionally, the results continue to improve the understanding of mineralization controls within the project area.

Geological logging and analytical data indicate that gold mineralization is closely associated with:

  • Quartz vein systems
  • Shear-hosted deformation zones
  • Hydrothermal alteration
  • Sulphide-rich structures
  • Brittle and brittle-ductile fault zones

Moreover, drilling data supports the interpretation of multiple mineralized trends within the project area. Consequently, the broader exploration potential of the Romeit Gold Project continues to expand as additional drilling information becomes available.

Exploration Strategy and Technical Approach

AFAQ Mining applies modern exploration methodologies and industry-standard QA/QC procedures throughout all drilling and sampling activities.

Furthermore, all RC samples are collected, logged, prepared, and analyzed following strict quality-control protocols. These procedures ensure data accuracy, analytical reliability, and consistency across the exploration program.

In addition, geological, geochemical, and structural datasets are continuously integrated to refine targeting strategies and support informed exploration decisions.

Conclusion

The Romeit RC drilling program continues to deliver encouraging gold mineralization results and confirms the presence of structurally controlled gold-bearing zones across the project area.

Furthermore, the drilling campaign has significantly improved geological understanding, expanded known mineralized trends, and identified new exploration opportunities. As a result, confidence in the exploration model continues to increase.

The combination of high-grade gold intercepts, structurally controlled mineralization, and strong geological continuity highlights the considerable exploration potential of the Romeit Gold Project.

Therefore, AFAQ Mining remains focused on advancing the project through systematic drilling, detailed geological interpretation, and continued evaluation of the broader mineralized system. These efforts will support future resource growth and contribute to unlocking the full value of the Romeit prospect.
