AFAQ Mining

AFAQ Mining continues to advance exploration activities at the Romeit Gold Project through an extensive diamond drilling campaign. The program aims to evaluate the continuity, grade distribution, and structural controls of gold mineralization across the prospect. Furthermore, the drilling results continue to strengthen confidence in the project’s geological potential and support future resource development.

Furthermore the current drilling campaign represents an important milestone in the systematic evaluation of the Romeit area, one of AFAQ Mining’s most promising gold exploration targets within the West ELBAH Concession. In addition, the program tests mineralized structures at depth while improving geological understanding through detailed core logging, sampling, and structural interpretation.

Romeit Diamond Drilling Program Overview

To date the Romeit drilling campaign includes 105 completed diamond drill holes totaling approximately 20,600 metres. Drill hole orientations were strategically planned to intersect the principal mineralized structures and quartz vein systems identified through surface mapping, trenching, and previous exploration programs.

Diamond drilling remains one of the most effective exploration techniques for evaluating hard-rock gold deposits. It provides continuous core recovery and allows geologists to accurately assess lithology, alteration, mineralization styles, and structural deformation. Consequently, the method delivers critical geological information that supports resource evaluation and exploration targeting.

At Romeit, drilling activities have focused on defining the geometry and continuity of gold-bearing quartz veins hosted within altered and structurally controlled zones. Moreover, the collected core data has significantly improved the understanding of mineralization controls and supports ongoing geological modelling activities.

High-Grade Gold Intersections at Romeit

Assay results from the drilling program have returned multiple high-grade gold intersections associated with quartz veining and sulphide-rich structures. Importantly, several drill holes intersected visible mineralization and encouraging gold grades, highlighting the potential for structurally controlled high-grade shoots within the Romeit system.

Notably, among the most significant assay intervals recorded during the campaign are:

  • 774 g/t Au over 0.5 metres

  • 415 g/t Au over 0.5 metres

  • 409 g/t Au over 0.5 metres

  • 156 g/t Au over 0.6 metres

  • 150.5 g/t Au over 0.35 metres

  • 124.5 g/t Au over 0.5 metres

  • 110 g/t Au over 1 metre

  • 100 g/t Au over 1 metre

  • Multiple intervals exceeding 50 g/t Au across several drill holes

Additional notable composite intersections include:

Furthermore, these results demonstrate the presence of localized high-grade mineralization within a broader mineralized corridor. As a result, the drilling campaign continues to reinforce the exploration upside of the Romeit Gold Project.

Geological Interpretation of the Romeit Prospect

Moreover, geological logging confirms that gold mineralization at Romeit is strongly controlled by structural deformation zones and associated quartz vein systems. In addition, gold mineralization shows a close relationship with hydrothermal alteration, sulphide development, and brittle-ductile shear structures.

In addition the drilling campaign has provided valuable information regarding:

  • Structural orientations of mineralized zones

  • Distribution of alteration halos

  • Quartz vein density and continuity

  • Relationships between lithology and gold mineralization

  • Down-dip extensions of mineralized structures

Consequently, this information plays a critical role in refining future drill targeting and improving the geological model of the project.

Advancing the Romeit Gold Project

Meanwhile the ongoing exploration strategy at Romeit focuses on systematically defining mineralized zones with economic potential while expanding the known footprint of gold mineralization throughout the project area.

Going forward, future exploration activities are expected to include:

  • Additional diamond and RC drilling

  • Detailed structural interpretation

  • 3D geological modelling

  • Geochemical data integration

  • Resource evaluation studies

Moreover, the Romeit Project continues to demonstrate encouraging exploration indicators and remains an important component of AFAQ Mining’s exploration portfolio in Egypt.

Commitment to Technical Excellence

Importantly AFAQ Mining applies strict quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures throughout all drilling, sampling, and geological logging activities. Therefore, the company ensures the reliability, consistency, and accuracy of exploration data generated during the program.

Furthermore, AFAQ Mining remains committed to applying modern exploration methodologies and internationally recognized industry standards throughout all stages of exploration and project evaluation.

Conclusion

Overall Romeit diamond drilling program has successfully confirmed the presence of high-grade gold mineralization associated with structurally controlled quartz vein systems in Egypt’s Eastern Desert.

Furthermore, the encouraging drilling results, combined with improved geological understanding and ongoing exploration activities, continue to strengthen the potential of the Romeit Gold Project. The continuity of mineralized structures, the occurrence of high-grade gold intercepts, and the growing geological database all support continued exploration success.

Therefore as exploration progresses, AFAQ Mining will continue refining the geological model and evaluating the broader mineralized system. Consequently, the company remains well positioned to unlock additional value from the Romeit Gold Project and advance future development opportunities.
